About
Austin Reed
I build AI into businesses. For clients, for my own companies, and on camera on YouTube.
Automation first, then AI
I've been automating businesses for over a decade: scrapers, CRMs, reports, the jobs nobody wants to do by hand. When ChatGPT arrived in 2022, automation could suddenly read an email, write the reply and make a judgment call. That's when it got useful for owners, and that's the work I do now.
Where I've put AI to work
- VREF. AI read 30 years of paper aircraft records, and a model trained on them helps the valuation team price planes faster. Revenue grew 67% in a year.
- Nimza. A company I co-founded, built on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. It checks what they say about a local business, then gets that business recommended.
- My own sales. Claude reads every reply across 100 inboxes. A person only reads the ones that say yes.
- YouTube. Automations built step by step, on camera, for 7.5K+ subscribers.
How I got here
Horizon Dev started in the middle of COVID, from Indonesia, with a $700 WordPress site. It's now a 15-person software company, and VREF and Microsoft are clients. Along the way I did 63 jobs on Upwork at 100% job success, worked from 26 countries and lost my income four times.
Why I sell an hour
The same conversation kept happening. An owner paying for ChatGPT, a team still doing things by hand, and nobody to sit down and connect the two. That takes an hour, so that's what I sell.
The task you're thinking of right now. That one.
Twenty minutes, free. By the end of the call you'll know if an hour fixes it.
No pitch. No deck. If it's not a fit, I'll say so.
